Hill Military Academy on NW Marshall Street

The original building in NW Portland (pictured above) in 1943 before it was torn down. A parking lot was built in it's place.

Architectial Styles of Comparison

Notice the similarities in design style in the three photos below. The first is the HMA administration building pictured in 1931. The middle picture is the same building as it appears today in 2009. The bottom picture is an old picture of West Point in the early 1900's. Note the related roof lines. Was HMA attempting to become the West Point of the Pacific?
